Wow, it's been a LOOOOONG time since I have taken the time to sit down and tell you all how life is going with us... (almost 2 months!!!). In all honesty, I thought so many times how I really needed to sit down and write out a blog post... but, then I'd begin to feel really overwhelmed by all that we wanted to share... ha! Funny, how that slowly quickly became a catch 22. The longer I waited the more there was...
Soooo.... to avoid making this a complete NOVEL... I'm just going to dive in, and try and share little by little, until I hopefully get caught up... is that possible? I'll try. :)
It's been busy (isn't that what I say write type in every post?).
Life has truly been busy, but wonderful for us too. Lots of changes ... all great, and definitely worthy of sharing... again, I'm not going to be able to fit almost 2 months worth of our lives into this one post, but I will say... the past two months have been great... and I think in the past two months with so many changes, we have become a closer 4-person family than we were before... which is hard to fathom... ha!
I had surgery (end of July), and am feeling really great. Still slowly moving through my recovery... but, I can definitely say that I feel so much better than I have in a very very long time! We have been so blessed to have the most amazing family and friends who really "showed up", and were there/here for us in every way I could have imagined... and more! We are so incredibly thankful for all of the help, kind words, thoughts and prayers that have come our way. There really is no way to describe how incredibly blessed and grateful we feel towards each of you who thought of our family during a small bump in our lives. I look forward to returning the amazing gift of friendship and family love that we have received.
So... to not get too wordy, and to share more about all we've been up to... I think I'll share some fun pictures!
We have been so lucky to have had some wonderful late summer HOT weather... and although, it's beginning to turn a little chilly, we LOVED every.single.moment of the gorgeous weather over the last few weeks. The munchkins LOVED playing in their swimming pool, sliding into their pool, playing in the sprinklers, enjoying lots and lots of time at the park, especially the "tricky fountain" park, and so so much more!
Jack also was so EXCITED to finally start preschool last week, and to say he loves it is an understatement. He goes on Tuesday and Thursdays in the morning, for 2.5 hours... and is eager to go each week. We are 2 weeks in to school, and I'm so amazed at how much he has already learned!
We are eager to start back up with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) next Friday, and have that on our calendar a few Fridays a month. I'm really looking forward to seeing friends we have missed all summer, and to join in fellowship with my mama friends, and for our munchkins to have fun playing together.

(yes, I'm a bit of a sunscreen nazi, and use spf 1200
or something - so it's so thick, it's really hard to rub it all in...)

We had a fabulous Labor Day...
spent with wonderful family, and celebrating a few birthdays too!
And... also watching our Ducks play their first game of the season!

(hmmmmm..... I wonder who's getting a new big boy bike soon???)
