WATCH OUT David Beckham... someone's takin' your place!

JACK THE SUPERSTAR SOCCER PLAYER!!!

Jack did so awesome at his first day of soccer today! He was so fun to watch, and had both Brian and I in tears laughing, and also thinking about what a big, amazing, intelligent, brave, confident and kind boy he has become! He, absolutely LOVED every second of soccer class, and even though there were times when he was telling his "coach" that "cars drive all over the roads" - instead of paying attention to soccer, he was AWESOME!!!

We took a few (to say the LEAST) pictures.
Enjoy!!!

And, really, we think we've got a star on our hands! :p
Just needs to work on a little technique here and there... and the minor issue of remembering that in soccer you don't use your hands, but other than that... he's GOLDEN!!!

Standing in line, waiting for nametags...

We have no idea what this boy is saying to Jack, but by J's face, he doesn't like it one bit! :p

Lots and Lots of Running!!! J never stopped for a second!

 Bunny Hop!!!

Walking backwards is not as easy as it looks... even when you use your arms for balance.

Lots of stretching to get those muscles moving!!!

... and now time for some work on technique

 Ooops...
just must have momentarily forgotten which sport he was playing... he is very athletic. :p

 Jackson's #1 Cheerleader!!!
"WAHOO JACK"
She loved watching him running up and down the gym, and she would point to him, and babble... so sweet!!!
She was so great... sat on my lap the whole time, and just took it all in... we might have 2 soccer players soon!

 Go, Jackson, GOOOOO!!!
We loved watching J play so hard!

... and we played a little too!!! :)
ps. Maggie did fabulous in her class this morning too - but Brian took her, and forgot the camera. He said she had a lot of fun, was one of the younger munchkins, but seemed to really enjoy it! Next week, it will be Maggie's spotlight!!!

Way to go Soccer Stars, see you next Saturday!

Trains AND Tutus... and lots more fun!

TRAINS = Jack ?
TUTUS = Maggie ?

... or is it the other way around? :) Some days... yes, yes, yes... it is!

I (Brooke) LOVE Valentine's Day... and especially love it even more since having Jack and Maggie. I love all the adorable decorations (I know, I know... what holiday do I not love to decorate for? I would say... one holiday that I never decorate for... well, ok... not NEVER... I do have one little sign that hangs on the door... is St. Patrick's Day...), but I do enjoy making Valentine's with the kiddos, and having a fun time decorating cards, cupcakes, cookies, decorations, etc. with them.
Last year, Jack and I made heart shaped crayons for our Valentine Party with our Mom/Kiddo group in Gig Harbor... and I think we'll continue the tradition, and make some heart shaped crayons this year too! And, now Maggie can join in on the Valentine's Day fun... she has already been hard at work on coloring and decorating some cards! :)
I had to pull out some (yes, some... as there are many, probably too many!) of Maggie's Tutus last weekend, as we are having some pictures taken of the kiddos for Valentine's Day. I was deciding on which tutu for Maggie to wear, and Jack was very interested in the tutus, and decided he wanted to try one on. So, he did... and he had fun "dancing" and a lot of twirling with the tutu on... as he said "it's berry berry fluffy and twirly"... and then after just a few minutes... "dis is fo' grils, I need it off"... so we took care of that. But, I was able to capture a few great pictures of our guy having so much fun twirling, spinning and more twirling!!!
ps. I have a feeling I'm going to pay for taking AND THEN POSTING these pictures someday... :p
 Hmmm... this is very fluffy!
But, so fun to dance in!!!
... and do lots and lots of spinning!
And, of course being really silly!
 Spin, Spin, Spin...
So fun... but so much spinning and twirling makes you very dizzy!!!
Ready for this Twirly Tutu to COME OFF!!!
Maggie loves to play trains just as much as her Big Brother does!

... and even got a few of her own trains for Christmas!

CHOO CHOO!!!
Maggie had fun and couldn't stop laughing watching her big brother be so silly (in the tutu)!!!
So, really they both (for the most part) LOVE the same things! They have so much fun playing together these days, and if one is gone for an appointment or some special time with Mommy or Daddy, the other kiddo definitely notices! It's really becoming so fun to see their sibling relationship grow and that they are truly the best of friends!
so, after a little fun, it was naptime...
Mama, I'm trying to sleep!
I did have to get this picture though, because she looks oh so cute and cuddly in her crib!
Mmmm... snack after nap! Yummy!!!
Such a happy girl after nap.
Note: the scratch on the bridge of her nose between her eyes occured while trying to pull out a bin from their toy storage, and it came out fast and bumped her! Poor Maggs! But, she's a strong girl, cried for a second... and then was ready to play! Our little bruiser!!!
BATHTIME... one of Maggie's favorite times of the day!
She loves the bath!!!

Such a tired girl! On Wednesday, we had to wake her up to go to Physical Therapy... which led to a bit of an unhappy camper! But, she perked up quickly... and is doing amazingly well with both Physical Therapy and her walking! We have a full-time walker now!!! Again, we could not be more proud of her... and all of the hard work she continues to put in to gain strength, muscle and overall sturdy mobility!
Still sleepy... but, getting ready to go!
Daddy got to take M to PT this week! They had a super fun time!!!

 MAGGIE'S
HOUSE
Maggie's little "peek-a-boo" house that I began working on prior to Christmas, is finally up and done!
It's been done for a while, but we finally found a good spot for it to hang, so she is able to reach it and play with it.
It was really fun, easy and inexpensive to make!
Each little "door" is made from a travel baby wipe package top - and a picture is behind each door.
She loves to open the doors and see who is behind them!
Jack loves it too, and says he needs one as well... so yes, I am now working on JACK'S HOUSE ;)
Inside the front door is a picture of our family
There is a door or window that has some animals behind it
And, of course a door for Maggie's "room" and one for Jack's "room"

Silly Monkeys are in The Weeks' House!
Jack, what are you up to???
Maggie, what's going on?
Besides, of course that it is so "fun to be you"... :)
Hmmm... I think she has something in mind...
"AAAAHHHHHHH!!!" I have no idea what got her to make this face, but it is hilarious.
It makes me laugh every time I see it!!!
Playing is hard work, not to mention all the walking!
She needed a break!
And... apparently to give Buster some LOVE!
Buster is so great with the kiddos... he takes all of their "hugs" and "love"...
And, even when Maggie thinks it is fun to use him as a jungle gym!
Here she comes!
(note: do not show these pictures to Jack...)
Jack and Daddy went to get dinner, and I was putting clean sheets on Jack's bed - Maggie decided to join me, and she LOVES nothing MORE than to climb up onto Jack's bed and play! Fun, Fun, Fun!
However, Jackson usually doesn't allow this... ;)
Maggie really really really loves Jackson's room, but especially that she is able to climb up onto his bed all by herself!
... and play with all of Jackson's "guys", but mostly his "George's", as those are prized possessions, and rarely does anyone else get to play with them - and forget playing with them without J's supervision!

We had a very busy week - and are looking forward to a low key, but fun weekend. Jack and Maggie both start their "classes" through Parks & Rec tomorrow.

Maggie will be doing "Bubbles, Balls and Beanbags" ... which I believe is just playing with the 3B's above along with kiddos her own age, and of course, Brian or I will play along.
And, Jackson starts... SOCCER!!!
He is very excited! He has been gearing up and waiting for tomorrow for a long time!
We'll try to get some pictures to share.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy those close to you!

ps. I did want to add these in quickly, as Jack did have a lot of fun last Sunday at the Lake Oswego Library. They had a model train exhibit, and he was able to "drive" a train! A lot of fun for our guy, and although the exhibit was small, and he was ready to go fairly quickly after checking everything out... he has BIG plans for future train exhibit adventures!

He did a GREAT job "driving the train", and just having a really fun time! We love you, Jackson!!!
