Acupuncture...

As most of you know, I have been suffering horrendous migraines, since Jack was about 6 months old. I have begun acupuncture, and am on week 3. I go twice a week - and have some wonderful Mama friends here in the Harbor that care for the kiddos while I go. It seems to be working wonders. The acupuncturist is first working on my "overall well-being and depleted energy", and then will focus primarily on my migraines. I was so nervous my first session, but it is AMAZING. I cannot rave enough about it. I don't think I'll ever stop going. Luckily, with Brian's new job, we have fabulous insurance that does cover acupuncture (or else, it's incredibly spendy).
I'm hoping & praying that this can help with my migraines.
It's a slow process, but one I'm willing to go through. Migraines are truly an excruciating disease to deal with, and it's hard to understand unless you've endured one yourself... which I would NEVER wish upon ANYONE!!! But, I am really trying to stay positive, and hope that all this self care (acupuncture, taking time outs for myself, trying to alleviate as much stress as possible) will pay off!

Just wanted to keep everyone updated.

Overall, we are all doing great. Gearing up for all the fabulous fun Fall activities. We have a Dragon costume for Jack for Halloween, but not sure if he'll go for it, or back out at the last minute. :)
Maggie will be the sweet little pumpkin she is (in a pumpkin costume).
I will attempt pictures and post!

Love to you all! xoxo

Fun with old friends!!!

This weekend, we had our great friends Ryan, Lindsey and Bailey Anderson come to visit us from Vancouver. Brian and Ryan go way back... all the way to high school and were college roommates, as well. Ryan was also a groomsmen in our wedding. So, they are a very special family to us.
Their daughter, Bailey is 4 months older than Jack, and an absolute doll.
Needless to say, Jack and Bailey had an absolute BLAST together!!! There was no fighting at all, not really any issues with sharing (surprisingly!!!). They were just the best of buds!
Maggie enjoyed them too.
We had plans to go to the fair, but unfortunately, fall weather really kicked in, and we had rain :(. So, we walked around the Harbor, went to the park, had a yummy lunch out at one of our favorite restaurants, and overall just chatted and let the kids play like wild.

After they left, Jack went down for a nap, and when he woke up, he was VERY upset, we are suspecting because his BFF had left.

We are anxious to see them again soon. It was a wonderful weekend. Thank you, Ryan, Lindsey and Bailey for making the long trek to see us. We had a fabulous time with you all, and miss you already!!!!

Almost 2 and almost 3 months...

I realized it's been a while since I have blogged... things have been so busy.
Fall is in the air, and I LOVE it. Everything I love about fall is here... including NO RAIN... keep your fingers crossed.

The munchkins are doing FABULOUS. Jack is learning more and more each day. It's amazing how much of a little sponge he is. He is still going to his little "school" 2 mornings p/week, which gives me some alone time with Maggie, and some time to get some much needed things done around the house, or run errands, etc.
Maggie is also doing great. She had her 2 month check up last week, and she is still just a little peanut. Weighing in at a whopping 9lbs, 6 oz., and 22" long! Hard to believe that is about what Jack was when he was born, he was only 5 oz. smaller, but same length!!!!
She is growing slowly, but surely though. The pediatrician said she is right on track for being a small, petite little girl. :) The pediatrician also said that she thought Maggie would be an early crawler/walker, since she is so wiry and loves to MOVE! Speaking of, she rolled over for the first time this weekend. We just happen to be at Brian's parent's house, so we all got to see it, and were very proud of her.

Fall is coming with, yet again a busy schedule for us. Our great friends, the Anderson's, will be coming this weekend. Their daughter Bailey, is 4 months older than Jack. We plan on taking them to the fair. I know Jack will LOVE all of the animals!!!!

I hope you are all doing well. And, please know we think of and miss all of our friends and family.
ps. I will try to get better at updating more frequently :)
Lots of Love,
The Weeks Team
