Just some fun pics to share...

We had a busy week, (it seems that is usual for us...).
I took some fun pictures too... so rather than telling you every detail of our week... I'll just share some fun photos... (and, I'll admit, I'm a bit tired... so I'd probably end up writing something incoherent with a lot of typos, so I'll save us all the pain... ).

We hosted a playdate at our house on Monday, with some of our new and old friends (through the Mom's/Kiddo's Group we're in)... it was a lot of fun!
 Look at all those cuties!
Maggie was very fond of Fritz... :)
Not so sure he felt the same... :p
He's showing a little interest (above picture...)...
and Maggie dives right in... trying to give Fritz a smooch...
I think he's trying very hard to politely tell her "no, thank you"...
Jackson had so much fun with Griffin.
Griffin is my BF Niki's nephew... he is about 6 months younger than Jack... and they always have so much fun playing together! We are always happy when Niki is able to bring Griff along to playdates... he's such a cool kiddo.
Miss Maggie taking a little break from all the action... and playing with "baby" Jackson's Giraffe, Sophie... I think he's gonna want it back, Maggs... don't get too attached.
This is just PURE sweetness! Niki's little guy, Jackson... all tuckered out from lots and lots of playing...
He is so cute! He literally, just fell asleep sitting on the couch with his Mama. He looks pretty content to me :)

I found a spot... well, sort of ... for the "spring" wreath I made a few weeks ago. It is hanging in our front living room, over the fireplace. There isn't a mantle and it's brick, so the best I could do was use a suction cup, and "hang" it from the mirror. It looks ok... but, it isn't the exact right spot for it... not sure I'll ever find one... HA!
I was just playing around with my camera this week (please don't take the below photo as an example... bad lighting, bad angle, bad ... well, just about everything - besides the plaque I was attempting to capture). I love this saying... Niki gave this to me a while back, and I have always loved it, and have always found a special place in our home for it.
I LOVE Sunflowers! They are one of my favorite flowers! These ones are absolutely gorgeous.
I bought them at Trader Joe's for Easter, and they are still going strong. They are so beautiful, and they just remind me that spring really is here... just not exactly showing us much ... yet.
Yes, flowers are so easy to photograph.
But, they are also so gorgeous.
So, all in all... these pictures make me happy...
because I took them, and they are pretty. :)
But, again... flowers are pretty hard to not get a good picture of.
This one (below) is my favorite. I love the flowers (of course), but also the pitcher they are in. My Grandmother gave me the pitcher, and I have always loved it. I never use it for what a pitcher is truly for... but, have always used it for a vase... and I think it does the job well!
Again... just playing around with my camera...
but, this little plaque (below) is another one of my favorite things we have.
Another thing from my Grandmother... hmm... she knows my taste :)
She gave this to Brian and I, this past year for Christmas, and I just adore it.
Hope you enjoyed the complete randomness of this post... :) And, the pictures...
I have many many many more where these came from. I'm also having a lot of fun with a new photo program, that allows you to change little things in a photo (ie. aging it, etc.). I'll have some fun ones to show you soon.

Lastly, have some WONDERFUL news to share... my Grandmother went from the hospital last week, to a Rehabilitation Center for her to receive some physical therapy for her knees, etc. after her surgery. Well... she only had to stay at the Center for 2 days, and was able to go home yesterday afternoon! I talked with her today, and she was so happy to be home, as I'm sure we can all imagine! She said she had slept really well last night, and was just overall very happy to be back home, and sleeping in her own bed. My Aunt, Kathy will be staying with her... until my Grandmother feels fully comfortable & strong enough to be alone. So, thank you to everyone who has held my Grandma in their thoughts and prayers. It has meant a lot... during a difficult and stressful time. I'm so relieved, happy and feeling blessed that she was able to regain her strength, and be able to be home where she can sleep, eat, etc. all comfortably and have some privacy... as we all know how hospitals are... :p
We love you, Grandma... and are beyond HAPPY you are home! xoxo

We hope each and every one of you have a wonderful weekend.
Love,
The Weeks

Easter...

Happy Easter, EVERYONE!
We hope you all had a wonderful day and weekend, surrounded by family and friends! We sure did...
But... first a little walk down Memory Lane...

Easter 2008, Jackson's very first Easter!
All ready to head to church... yet, already fast asleep!
Sleepy Guy on Mama's Shoulder all throughout Church Service

I can't seem to find any pictures of Easter 2009 - Although we know it existed :)
However, this is what I could find for the month of Easter, 2009...
I looked like this (below...) -
possibly why I can't find much documentation for Easter 2009 :)
(that's Maggie in that big belly :p)...

Jackson - again, not ON Easter, but, around the same time.
What a cutie!!!

Easter 2010, Maggie's very first Easter!
such a pretty girl all dressed up!
Jackson - age 2.5 years old
so very handsome!
 Brooke and Maggie!

Easter 2010, our Family on Easter Sunday!

And, on to this year... Easter 2011
We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Jackson and Maggie had so much fun, not only enjoying all of their treats, but also having so much fun with family and friends!!!
We were blessed to have Brian's parents come to our house for the weekend. We also, were so happy to be able to have spent such a special holiday with his Aunt and Uncle, who have officially moved to Camas, WA --- about 45 minutes from us! The house they had put an offer on, is now officially theirs! Congratulations, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin! We couldn't be happier to have you both living closer!!!
Brian's Grandparents are still moving up this way, as well... but, it sounds like they most likely won't be making the move until towards the end of May. They live in an Assisted Living Community now, and will transition into a new Assisted Living Facility in Fisher's Landing - a small community in Vancouver, WA... and only about 6 miles from Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin's new home in Camas. We can't wait for Grandma and Grandpa Weeks to get here!

On Saturday, we went and had a "picnic" at Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin's new house... and since they made the move from Southern California, they are starting out all NEW... as in new furniture, accessories, etc. So, for now... there isn't any furniture in their house... so we really did have a picnic on their kitchen floor, and it was so much fun. Not to mention, Jack and Maggie love all the space to roam and run around in circles!!! :)

And...
Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin were so thoughtful of Jack and Maggie. They got them both very special Easter surprises...

Jack with his eyes closed... awaiting his "surprise"...
 Still Waiting...
 A MONKEY... for a monkey! :)
Uncle B and Aunt K already know Jack all to well, and his LOVE for Monkeys!!!
Do you think he likes it?
 Yep, we think so.
He'll fit right in with the menagerie of other monkeys and animals that accompany J to sleep every night.

Maggie's Turn...
 A BIG and FLUFFY DUCKY!!!
 Magg's loves her new Duck!
He is so cute. Really big, round and fluffy! Just perfect for Maggie!
 Big Hugs for Uncle Bruce!
and of course, Aunt Karin too!
Maggie got in on the hugging action too!
Big Thank-You's to Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin for thinking of Jackson and Maggie on Easter.
They are certainly loved little munchkins!!!
Maggie couldn't get enough hugs from her new Ducky...
and she was oh so graceful about snuggling with him on the floor! :)
 Silly Girl!
 Cuddles
Maggie was telling us all "sshhh!" because she and Ducky were "sleeping"...
(ie. she kept closing her eyes and pretending she was sleeping... HA!)
A special Dedication and gifts for Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin's new home...
A beautiful wall hanging that I think Aunt Karin loved, do you? :)
Jack offering a "quick" trade of Monkey for Ducky... just for a second so he could check Ducky out...
Maggie wasn't having it.
Jack, thanfully was ok with that... as...

Our Monkey playing with his new Monkey Friend!
Two Sweet Faces (above AND below)...

It's Easter Morning...
And the "HUNT" begins...
(we had hidden plastic Easter eggs filled with goodies all over the play room... both munchkins had a great time finding all of them and putting them in the big basket!)
Jack found the majority of them, and Maggie was happy finding two or three, and immediately opening them to see what was inside!
One egg "accidentally" opened... so of course, a taste test of the jellybean contents needed to be done.
Jackson, AKA "THE GREAT EGG FINDER" was on a roll...
Maggie was still enjoying the opened egg, and carefully placing each jellybean back inside...
Hmmm... looks as if another "taste test" was taking place...
 and another...
Eventually some made it into the basket!
 Eggs, Eggs, Eggs! Everywhere!!!
 Hey... Look!
The Easter Bunny snuck into our house in the middle of the night too...
and left MORE goodies for Jack and Maggie!
 Basket full of eggs.
Eggs full of goodies.
Nana and Papa also brought Jack and Maggie special Easter surprises!
They are two special munchkins, who are again... so incredibly loved!
They got some sweet and special Easter eggs filled with yummies, as well as some fun bubbles, little Easter Egg snowglobes and MORE!!!
I think we're going to have a fun week enjoying all of their treats and surprises!
 chocolate bunny... mmm...
 Brooke and Maggie
 Brian and Maggie
(ps. this might be my FAVORITE picture of these two... so.cute.!!!!)
We, unfortunately, didn't get a family picture this year. It seemed every time I thought about it, one of the kids, or Brian or myself would be in the middle of something, and so it kept getting put off....
And, now Maggie is asleep for the night, and the rest of us are in our pj's... so we'll either pose for a "faux Easter" pic tomorrow, or just have the ones we have from our special day today! :)
 Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin
(and a bunny... as they were all over this house :p)
 Dad and Mom
 ... and we're ready to e.a.t.!

Again, we hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We sure did. We were so blessed to share it with those we love. And, most of all, with Jack and Maggie. It was so fun watching their sweet faces light up - and enjoy every minute Easter brought to them. We enjoyed a wonderful Church Service, at a new church in our area, we hadn't been to before. We REALLY enjoyed their service, and will most definitely be heading back there.
We did miss family that wasn't with us today, and we hope that they all had a wonderful Easter, as well! They were all missed and wished to have been here!

Lastly, Please keep my Grandmother, Bette in all of your prayers. Her surgery last Wednesday, to have one of her kidneys removed (due to Renial Cell Carcinoma) went well. However, she is struggling with her Arthritis, immensely. Unfortunately, the medication she was taking prior to the surgery, she can no longer take. So, she will continue to stay in the hospital until at least Wednesday, and then she will be going to a Rehabilitation Center for a couple of weeks, for some fairly intense physical therapy, before heading back home. Pray that she continues to do well, after her surgery. That she is able to continue to regain her strength and mobility. As well as, continuing to hold the amazing, wonderful and positive outlook she has on it all. I was sad to not see her today, but I did talk with her, and she was in great spirits, and feeling much better than she has in days.
We love her so very much, and she will be in our constant thoughts and prayers... I'll keep you all updated.

We absolutely LOVED the fabulous weather we had on Friday and Saturday of last week... although we had rain today, and hear we will for the majority of the week, we are hopeful that Spring is here... and look forward to many sunny days, spent outside!!!
All our Love,
Brian, Brooke, Jackson and Maggie. xoxo
