Twins?

We've got a set of Twins in our house...
Not what any of you might be thinking or incredibly confused by... HA!
As most of you know, this Mama (aka: me) is not able to have any more babes from my own body, let alone twins. Nor are we in any way, shape or form in a place where we would even think about expanding our family, at this time. Although, could be something we think about a bit while down the road...

However, Maggie Girl has a bit of a "twin". :)
Ok, so they don't really look a like.
And, Maggie is "technically" (according to her, of course) the Mama, and her "twin" is her baby.
But, apparently being Mama and Twins is one in the same (again, according to Maggs).

She and Chloe are now TWINSIES!
Maggie couldn't be more amazed, thrilled and just thinks it's the coolest thing ever!
After the initial look and (we think) confused thoughts about how she and Chloe looked the same, but not really the same... she realized they had the same... PAJAMAS!!!!
That, in itself, is very very FUN!
Her initial reaction looks as if she's a bit confused. She can tell that there is something familiar, but at this point isn't quite sure what it is ... yet!
(Maggie is obsessed with taking off/putting on all of her clothes "BY HERSELF MYSELF!". Which is what she (LOUDLY) & proudly announces each and every time she gets dressed/undressed).
(side note: not only did she put her new jammies on "ALL BY HERSELF MYSELF", she also (with a tiny bit of help from Mama, changed Chloe "ALL BY HERSELF MYSELF")!
Still taking it all in, she began to realize that she and her (#1 Favorite Baby Doll) have the SAME jammies! Her expression shows a bit of annoyance, and she was indeed ... annoyed, with me. I asked her to turn around (from looking in the mirror, so I could take her photo with Chloe, in which she sweetly obliged, but she still wanted more mirror time to check herself and Chloe out)!
Both Maggie and Chloe spent a lot of time in front of the mirror, checking themselves and their cute new "outfits" out... along with singing and dancing together! :)
(Something Maggie LOVES to do, with or without Chloe)!
What a happy girl!
(ps. yes, that is indeed her "special" Snow White Princess brush laying on the floor... it makes her (Maggie) have Princess hair... duh!). And, it is also used on Chloe, to get the princess hair look, too!
 The "Twins"
Smiley and Happy Twins (yes, Chloe has a big smile on her face),
even though you can't see it, due to Maggie taking all of the spotlight! That's our Girl!!!

Now this Mama is going to need to start looking high and low for more "matching" pj's... as I have a feeling when the weather truly does become spring/summer like, and summer pj's are in order, Maggie is going to want to wear the same as Chloe... EVERY NIGHT! One pair for the summer, is not gonna do it! :)
And....yes, I think I'll have to put my foot down when it comes to matching Maggie/baby doll outfits, and keep the "matchiness" to pj's ONLY.
Foot is already down on matching Mama/Maggie outfits... that is ANY outfit. :)

Hope you enjoyed our twinsies!
They are both now fast asleep, I'm sure dreaming of their "future" wardrobe, together...

(ps.) I found this "matchy set" at Kohl's (of all places), and Jackson happened to be with me. (we were actually there to find a gift for one of his classmate's birthday party).
He was such a good boy, in going in the girl section and taking a quick peak a look at all of the cute spring/summer little girls clothes!
FYI: If you've been around Jack lately, he has a BIG thing against girls. (???) No one in particular, just the entire gender. His dislike is basically anything do with "them" (ie. girls) or really even the mention of "them" (again, any girls!) ...with the exception of me and Maggie... Thank Goodness! Or this incredible dislike could become a HUGE problem! We're hoping with a bit of time, it shall pass.

Needless to say, Jackson was NOT at all impressed by the matching outfits, (other than stating that Maggie and her baby were going to have the same "dress"). Nightgowns are a whole new phenomenon in our house. Maggie, of course, LOVES the idea... a dress and she is allowed to sleep in it? YES!
Jackson, on the other hand, wanted to make sure he would NEVER EVER be sleeping in a dress, let alone a matching one, regardless of who he "matched" with!
He did clarify to me, quite well, (just in case, I were to go to far in the matching kiddos with their "babes"), "Mama, I don't want to have the same jammies as any of my *guys. None of my guys... EVER!". HA! Point taken, Jackson... and thanks for the reminder, in case Mama does one day, take it a bit too far!
*guys = Jackson's bazillion stuffed animals that he has always referred to as "his guys". :)

You may be seeing more matchy jammy outfits with Maggs and Babes, but probably NONE with Jack and any of his guys! He'll be modeling more important things... like the 4 (!!!) Robots he's made in the past week! I'll try to get some pics of them (Robots, as well as Jackson posing/showing off his hard work of building his Robots!) to post soon. He is so into robot making, and incredibly resourceful when it comes to finding recyclables to use/add to his Robots. We are proud of our guy, his imagination is AMAZING, and his fine motor skills are continuing to improve and grow in ways we are just so impressed by!
Can you tell we are two very proud parents?
All it takes are some matchy-matchy pajamas, some mega Robot making and we're bragging to the world that our munchkins are geniuses... which by the way, in case you weren't aware, BOTH Jackson and Maggie are nothing short of pure Genius!

Our Easter Celebrations...
Each have been wonderful, memorable and incredibly special!
"Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time."
~Martin Luther
Here's a little a bit loooong trip down memory lane of the wonderful Easter's we have spent as a family of 2, then 3, then complete as a family of 4!
Easter 2008
Jackson's 1st Easter Bunny!
Thank you Nana & Papa!
(side note: I was so excited when I found the exact bunny, in pink for Maggie ~ for Easter 2011) :p

Easter 2009
... YES... I realize that Easter 2009 is somehow missing (I know we enjoyed a wonderful Easter, I just can't seem to find the photos from Easter 2009. I'm sure I took some, maybe not???)
Maggie was still in Mama's belly, and Jack was doing super cute things like this...

Trying on Daddy's ties... you know, to plan for his next business meeting...

Maggie still in Mama's belly... we all were patiently excitedly waiting!
What a CUTIE!

Time with Mommy & Daddy before little sister arrived!
(if I do happen to come across Easter 2009 photos, I will be sure add them to next years Easter post!)

Easter 2010
Note: not much different in size between Jackson and Maggie at each of their 1st Easter Celebrations, yet their ages are quite different!

Easter 2011
Not Easter quite yet... but, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin are HERE!
We were thrilled when the moved so much closer to us!
We had fun visiting with them, just a week or so before Easter (2011)

And, the verdict is... she LOVES her new Ducky!
(this was actually a pre-get together with Uncle Bruce and Aunt Karin right after they moved to
Camas, WA... they were so gracious in giving Jack and Maggie two of their (still to this day!) favorite "guys" (ie. stuffed animals... and yes, Maggie calls her's "guys" too! :p)

Easter 2011....
The Hunt (ie. The Real Deal)..
(Easter Bunny has improved some... at least he remembered actual baskets! And, he/she did hide eggs everywhere! But... all in the playroom! Good thing, the Munchkins had no idea that "normal" egg hunts are usually held outdoors!)

Maggie wasn't quite as quick at the egg hunting as her Big Brother... she liked to simply find an egg, check out what was inside... taste test if needed... head back to her original basket, do some light reading... then proceed with the hunt.
You guess who found the most eggs! :)
Mr. Prince was too busy "checking" each of the eggs... you know, to make sure there weren't any candies that were too small for Maggie (hello... choking hazard!). :p

Mommy & Daddy and our Maggie!
 Loves for the Princess!
 Daddy's Princess!
(this may be one of my all time favorite photos! Both smiles are absolutely priceless! LOVE!!!)

Easter 2012
... and FINALLY ... if you've made it all the way to this YEAR... here we are! Easter 2012
This year Easter, was spent at Brian's Parent's Home. It was the first time hosting a Holiday Celebration in their new home! The day was gorgeous... absolutely perfect for reflection on why each and every one of us is here...
Not to mention, the sunshine helped out for a great Easter egg hunt! Both Jack & Maggie were so excited to hunt down all the eggs that the Easter Bunny snuck over to Nana & Papa's house in the middle of the night. You know, because that Easter Bunny is improving each and every year... and he/she knew the Weeks' Munchkins would be celebrating Easter at their Nana & Papa's (although, he (Easter Bunny) was kind enough to make a very quick trip to OUR house, "Easter Eve", and leave J and M two eggs each. Just so they wouldn't get worried he had forgotten about them.
Brian and Brooke
(amazing to think we'll soon be celebrating being married for 5 wonderful years!)
uh oh... I have a feeling more of this "pose" from Jackson is to come... (ie. me trying to force him into a family picture, and him trying to squirm away...). Little Bugger!
 BIG Improvement from Easter 2010...
(or Easter 2009, in which the Easter Bunny may or may not have forgotten to make a stop at The Weeks' Home... one will never know, as there doesn't seem to be much documentation... we're thinking that may be a good thing)...
The Easter Bunny did remember us at Nana and Papas!!!!

How many tries does it take to get a picture of the two of them...
in which they are at least both looking at me?
 #1
 #2
 #3 (and we're almost there, 1 for 2...)
#4 (and I possibly missed my chance with Maggie altogether now...)

#5 at least they're both looking at me...

#6 and we're almost there... almost...

#7 we got it! (not super natural smiles, but they definitely tried very hard, and were so very patient).

#8 YAY!!! Both looking sweet with their cute smiles (even if Magg's legs are up... it's ok!)

Lots of Bubbles were blown, drawings with Chalk made, and Easter eggs hunted! It was a GREAT time!

Jackson and Maggie both had so much fun hunting down all of the eggs!

What a Wonderful Day it was!
We look forward to many many more wonderful and memorable Easters!

We hope each of you enjoyed the special day of Easter, and were able to be with those you love!
