Really? Almost 1/2 way through July???

July... where did you come from???
It's really crazy how fast time flies once you have your own sweet little babes.
You can't wait to meet them, you can't wait for them to meet their next milestone, but you also want them to slooooow down, and capture every smile, every giggle, every new milestone, and every single little thing they do.
I cannot believe, over 2 years ago (May 2009, this is what I was doing...)

Crazy how Maggie went from:
this
(in mama's belly)
to this:
amazing, beautiful, precious
all in just minutes!

to this:
Just two years later!
Absolutely perfect in every single way since the beginning!!!

Quickly, what we've been up to...
then, can't wait to share the Princess' birthday with you all!
We cannot believe it is already mid-way through July. This summer is going by so fast! I think it's because we just began getting some real summer weather, only to have the past 2 days of rain and clouds. Ugh! We would like our sunshine back, please! :)

Our summer has been SO MUCH FUN this far... and we have definitely taken advantage of the great weather, with countless trips to the park, to the play fountains, our backyard, to run at the track that is within walking distance to our house, and just enjoying all summer brings.
We've also celebrated Maggie turning 2, Jack working through Potty Training, Brooke getting more and more into Art (since taking her online Art Workshop), and Brian busy busy busy at work (always a good thing for job security!).

We'd love to share some photos from Maggie's 2nd Birthday!
One very exciting thing we have all been looking forward to as the month of July approached, was Maggie's 2nd Birthday!
We cannot believe our baby girl, is now officially a TODDLER!
... and we celebrated in a style that Maggie loves the most...
Sesame Street, more specifically Cookie Monster!
"Coooookies.... nom, nom, nom"
~Cookie Monster

Brooke was able to have fun in making some of the decorations for Maggie's Birthday. It seems every "theme" we decide upon (usually we decide by whatever the munchkins' favorite "thing" at the moment), seems to be more difficult to find AFTER we decide on the said, super fun theme.
Jack's birthday last fall, Curious George ~ he was not an easy guy to track down last October/November. However, now.... Curious George is EVERYWHERE!
And, it seemed that Cookie Monster was EVERYWHERE last winter/spring... and then come summer, and full planning, etc. is in full swing... Sesame Street is not so cool anymore. Apparently we're either always ahead of the times, or behind... Apparently a bit of both!

Can you tell me how to get...
How to get to...
Sesame Street...
Maggie's Street!
Party Favors (Goody Bags) for all of our little
Cookie Monsters who joined us!
It's Maggie's Street...
The party is starting!!!
Lots of fun decorations that Brian and I
had a lot of fun working on together.
The cutest signs our friends made for Maggie
(the sweet little girls across the street! xoxo, they are so kind!)
Lots of wonderful friends & family
were able to come to our house
for a fun party in celebration
of our Little M turning 2!!!
Maggie's Great Grandma, Marjorie Weeks.
As well as her Aunt Karin and Nana (Karen).
How special and wonderful it was
to have both of Maggie's namesakes at her birthday party!
Great Grandma, Marjorie
and
Nana Bette (nana goes by Bette; her full name is Elizabeth Ann)
and, as most of you know...
Maggie's full & possibly longest name is:
Marjorie Elizabeth Ann

We were so happy they could both be here for such a special celebration,
as they mean so much to us...
They are two of the most amazing & loving women,
hence why we love that they are Maggie's namesake!
Nana Bette (Brooke's Grandmother) and Maggie
giving eachother LOVES!
So sweet!
All of the kiddos LOVED playing outside in our BIG backyard...
Not the most beautiful landscaping ~ but,
it works perfectly for our family,
as well as entertaining others...
especially other munchkins!
Lots and Lots of friends and family enjoyed
chatting, snacking and loving
on all of the cuties running around!
Maggie requested an apple, while we were enjoying snacks prior to cupcakes...
although we had a yummy fruit salad,
there were no apples in the house. :(
Thankfully our amazing neighbors
(one of them, sweet Sydney is sitting at the table below with Magg's)
came to the rescue,
running across the street to their house,
sprinting back with said requested apple. :)
mmm... for apples!
Nana (Karen), Great Grandma (Marjorie), and Auntie (Karin)
Maggie was a little scared when everyone started singing
Happy Birthday to HER!
... still not sure about all the singing, and everyone looking at her...
But, she sure enjoyed her cupcake!
Jack LOVED having friends, playing outside, cupcakes
and EVERYTHING else that came along with his little sister's special day!
He was such a trooper, really understanding it was her day
(he had woken up that morning before her, and was so excited for her to wake up... as soon as she did, he RAN over to her, embracing her and shouting "Happy Birthday, Maggs"!!!)
- yep, he rocks!!!,
and of course, helping out wherever needed.
He was a HUGE help with decorating, etc.
Love you, J...
you are the BEST BIG BROTHER Maggie's got!!! :p
more friends...
Maggie ever so politely asked for a "foke",
AKA: fork, to eat her cupcake. :)
Present Time!!!
Maggie helped open her first gift,
and then decided she wasn't
really into opening them at the moment.
Thankfully Big Brother, Jack and some friends
jumped right on the job!
Maggie, however,
LOVED playing with each and every gift!
We thank you all
for your thoughtful and generous gifts.
Maggie is one special & very loved little lady!

Jack and Daddy...
the two most handsome guys I (Brooke) knows!!!

hence the glasses, and squinting into the sun camera)...

Happy 2nd Birthday, Sweet Maggie Elizabeth Ann.
We all love you so very much,
and are so proud of the little girl you are turning into!
xoxoxoxo

Still have so much more to update you all on... but, thought I should try to get Maggie's 2nd Birthday photos and fun posted, before she turns 3! Two days after M's bday, we headed to the beach (Seaside, OR) for the day... so.much.fun.! I will definitely try and post photos from our day trip soon!

Just an FYI, I will be taking a mini vacay from blogging beginning the last week in June, throughout most of August. I will be having surgery & then recovery time... but, I'm hoping to coax Brian into posting some pics, etc. for all of the 7 people who read our blog... ha!!!

We hope you are all enjoying summer, and send our love to each and every one. We hope you are getting much much much more sunshine than we are....xoxo
